Nasi Lemak

Nasi lemak is one of the most well known Malay dishes – Nasi Lemak is also a national dish that many people in Singapore would gladly eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper.  The key most important part of any plate of nasi lemak is the rice, which is not just plain steamed rice, but it’s fragrant rice cooked with coconut milk to give it a rich nutty flavor and a light and fluffy texture, added some salt, and pandan leaves to give it a wonderful fragrance.

In addition to the rice, chili sauce (sambal chili) and fried anchovies (ikan bilis).
